Richard J. Connor Award
Each Spring, the Friends of the Sandwich Public Library sponsors the Richard J. Connor Award in the amount of $2,500. The award will go to a graduating senior residing in Sandwich, regardless of where he or she goes to school, and who is continuing his or her education as a full-time student at a fully accredited institution. Home schooled students are eligible to apply. This award honors the Library's former director, Richard J. Connor, and our intent is to provide financial assistance towards the purchase of the recipient's textbooks for his/her continuing education. In the Spring, applications will be available to download and print, or picked up at your school's guidance office and at the Sandwich Public Library. Students are required to submit a typed essay, along with their completed application.
