September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

In partnership with the American Library Association, we are celebrating National Library Card Sign-up Month throughout the month of September. This annual campaign encourages the public to sign up for a new Library card.

We're inviting everyone to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at your local library! 


Tech Thursdays with Brian
2nd & 3rd Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon


Want some one-on-one time to get some help with your smartphone, tablet, or computer? Need help connecting to any of our library resources such as Libby, Hoopla, the Cape Cod Times, and more?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Tech Thursdays is for you!

Book a 20 minute appointment with our Reference Librarian, Brian by selecting a date below. You can also stop by during a session and he'll do his best to fit you in. After you register, Brian will contact you with your designated time, either by email or phone.

Introducing Meescan, our new
self-checkout kiosk!

This kiosk is super easy to use – just scan your library card and item barcodes on your way out the door. A confirmation email with the due dates will automatically be sent to you!

The system also allows users to download the Meescan app onto their smartphones and checkout items using the camera on your phone.

Thornton Burgess Display from FOSTA

 The FOSTA - Friends of Sandwich Town Archives have curated a display on Thornton W. Burgess commemorating what would have been his 150th Birthday this year. The display includes historical photos, a timeline of some of his life events and other fun facts.

Friends of the Sandwich Public Library Book Sale

Please note the following new guidelines for donations:

  • Donations of 20 books/puzzles or less can be dropped off and reviewed if possible.
  • All donations must be brought directly by the donor to the Book Sale Room on the lower level.
  • Volunteers will review your donation of books and puzzles and reserve the right to refuse any donation.
  • The Book Sale does NOT accept CDs, DVDs, encyclopedias, dictionaries, Readers' Digest condensed books, magazines, or moldy or damaged items.
