Historic Jenny Jones map available for purchase

The Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives are excited to offer this hand drawn map of Sandwich. The historic map was hand drawn by Jenny Jones (Jane Bradford Jones) in 1939 during one of the restorations of the 1834 Town Hall. The map depicts Sandwich Village in 1825, the year the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works opened in what is now Jarvesville. Restoration of the map was performed by the North East Document Conservation Center. The map measures 25 1/2" X 20 1/4" and is available in watercolor or black and white. The black and white verson may be painted or decorated with colored pencil by the purchaser. The sale of this map was very popular in 1939 and many residents chose to decorate the map with water colors. The colored map is priced 1t $25 and the black and white map is $20. There will be a $5 postage free for anyone withing to have the map mailed anywhere within the US. Order your copy from Deb Rich, Archivist, at the Sandwich Town Archives housed in the Sandwich Public Library. Cash, check or credit card payments are accepted. To order your copy online, scroll down to the Paypal button on this page.
